The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with the Dulles Regional, and Greater Reston chambers to hire professional representation to fight for their interest of Northern Virginia businesses in the 2010 Virginia General Assembly.
The chambers have named their effort The Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership, which collectively represents more than 2,800 businesses and 100,000 jobs. This will provide an unparalleled voice for Northern Virginia’s business community in Richmond when supporting pro-business policy is more critical than ever to our economy.
“With this Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership, the Northern Virginia business community will wield significant influence during the 2010 legislative session as we seek to put Virginia’s economy back on the right track,” said Tony Howard, President of the Loudoun County Chamber.
The Northern Virginia Chamber Partnership has chosen to focus its advocacy efforts in the 2010 General Assembly on three core issue areas. These issue areas are: Tax and Regulatory policies; Energy and Environment; and Economic Development. The chambers will continue to aggressively advocate for other policy priorities, such as transportation and education funding, through this Partnership and through other alliances with like-minded business organizations.
